Adelaide put on some glorious weather, so after several years of cancellations the parade was finally going ahead.
Yes it was busy. Very. But having arrived early, we had a chance for something to eat before heading down to riverbank to get settled for the parade.
We completely fluked an amazingly good spot as well.
Night Noodle Markets
With the kids I shared the most delicious Malaysian Hawker style salt & pepper school prawns from Sugar Prawn
Plus a serve of some awesome sticky chicken wings (my 6yo: “this chef is amazing”).
We also grabbed some Pad Thai from Span Thai being served super hot and tasty from a large paella style pan – generous on flavour (and chicken!).
A quick finish with gelati from N2 Extreme Gelato made-to-order icecream thanks to Liquid Nitrogen – we tried Ferrero Reveal with chocolate crunchy hazelnutty goodness and Brokeback Moments with vanilla, honecomb crunch and caramel. Oh hubba.
We grabbed some fortune cookies from the OzHarvest Cookie Cart and headed down to the Riverbank.
Moon Lantern Festival
Oh what a beautiful night!
It was super busy and crowded (I felt like I was back in Sydney) but how amazing Adelaide.
These pictures will speak for themselves. We all loved it.
